WKU is going to be a total massacre. YOu have to figure that Crompton is going to throw a screen pass that someone just takes to the house.
I say JC 10-12, 200 yards, 2 TD
and then Stephens is 7-9, 100 yards, 1 TD
Then he comes back to earth against UCLA
14-27 180 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
If the passing game looks weak against WKU, then everyone can pretty much assume that the UT passing game is going to be a train wreck.[/QUOTE]
Though we are all curious to see what kind of improved passing attack we may have this year, I doubt we will see it getting a thorough workout in the first game. Why? 1. I believe we want to make a statement that our running game is back in a big way. 2. Our coaches may not want to show UCLA, FL what we are capable of doing (though I have always favored the opposite, show 'em everything and dare 'em to prepare for all of it) and 3. If they are trying to rebuild Crompton's confidence, they may only give him a modest amount of throws and feature the ones he does best. Am not advocating that, but it could be their thinking.
