I know it's no surprise that the QB position is an important one. Most people would agree with this. If there was a top QB in College Station over the last couple years, Jimbo would still be there. Scott Frost would still be in Lincoln. Harsin would possibly still be at Auburn etc... . The whole team plays better with a smooth qb. Last year with Hendon I've never felt more relaxed watching a TN game. Don't sweat the small stuff becuase we have that guy. Nico will win the Heisman in this offense and we will compete for a Natty. Enjoy it fellas.

Milton ain’t it. An old school game manager. But when our run game is shut down we will not win. We need someone that can take over. Hopefully Nico is good. Josh Heupel has to be frustrated with his worst offense he’s ever fielded. Right ?

Ask yourself, if you had Missouri's QB...what would've it looked like? Watch him, watch Joe, play calling considered...what do you think? And the MO QB ain't all that. So yeah QB matters, a lot. Question is what's the difference between Hooker, Cook and Milton?
A good qb causes all the players to play better.

Milton pretty much has to rely on his recievers to get wide open. Does not know how to throw someone open or improvise when a play breaks down. Puts a ton of pressure on the playcallers because they know this and are less likely to call plays that take time to develop. With Hooker they could call anything just about and look like geniuses because he would find a way to keep the ball moving. If the line broke down he knew when to scramble. Milton will stare his first target down and if that isnt there its too late. Tremendous talent, just isnt the gamer Hooker was.

Joe does telegraph his throws or he looks like he does

the WRs and TEs aren't good either....
This year's WRs are a step down from what we had last year. We need a some studs like Hyatt, Tillman and Bru. We have 5 star Matthews, Boo Carter and Staley in next year's class but they will just be freshman. Nimrod, Webb and Leacock should make big strides from Fr to Soph so hopefully we will see improvement over this year. Squirrel will just keep getting better and maybe Bru comes back. I think we will be better at WR next year. TEs are more of an unknown.

It’s difficult to see how Nico could possibly live up to all the hype and expectations. Anything short of Heisman calibre will be a disappointment.
The good news is Kho has has good of a track with previous QBs, putting up monster numbers as in the offensive coach in the game. From hooker to Dillon Gabriel, McKenzie Milton, drew locke, etc. Milton will be the first QB heupel
has ever mentored for 2+ years that hasn’t been able to put up amazing stats. Heupel missed on his evaluation with him. But he’s done so much right over his time here. He’ll prove he’s in a league of his own offensively once he gets a good trigger man on the field

Maybe tremendous ARM talent, but that’s it

We HOPE we have that guy. Anyone who knows our history at the position, knows that you never assume what a kid will or won't do.

I hear you, but why does it seem that other programs always get a freshman or two (or...7) productive in their first season? I've seen it over and over. UF and Ala always get production out of a freshman DB. It's incredible.

If Cook was our qb this year, more than likely we are 10-0 / 9-1
