'22 QB IN Tayven Jackson (Tennessee signee)

LoudNoises: All quiet on the T Jackson front?

Callahan: As we mentioned in Tuesday's edition of High VOLtage, Tennessee still looks like one of the main contenders for Tayven Jackson right now, but he doesn't seem to be in a big hurry to make a decision. He wants to take some visits, including a trip to Tennessee, and evaluate things for a little while longer. That might even work in the Vols' favor, since they're mostly focusing on him right now in their search for a quarterback and they're one of the teams that hasn't been pursuing him all that long.

They've already made an impression on him, though, so I think they're going to remain one of the main teams to watch in that one.

Indiana quarterback Tayven Jackson spent the last week in Arizona on spring break. Tennessee continues to have really good dialogue with him and the Vols think highly of Jackson. Jackson’s father played at Washington State during the late 90s and was a member of a team that won a Rose Bowl. In talking to people around Jackson the common theme was intangibles and leadership skills. He is raw but just has that ‘IT’ factor that led his team to a 14-0 season last fall.

Critical need. Hell, with the way things are going, we need any and all comers at the QB position. Take 2-3 more and surely we'll find someone that can be a decent qb....which is a huge jump from the last 4 years.
QB is the one position I am not worried about.

Maybe Milton is a Mauer replacement. He hasn't done much during his time on campus to gain the trust of anyone. Spring maybe the end of the road for him at Tennessee
