I really don't understand why those clowns on KNS and the sports animal are having a fit over our coaches salaries. We are 4th in the SEC...and they act like we've blown the other schools out of the water and overspent.

We paid over a million dollars for Monte....Monte friggin Kiffin. The man is worth it.

This constant crying about their salaries is getting old.

I agree with this 100%. They need to put things in perspective when speaking about this and mention in the same breath the total $'s associated with EVERY other school in the SEC. I'm 100% please with what we have spent and what we have got.

Beyond that, I like what Hammy said and thought it was a great peak behind the curtain.

I don't get the cheap mentality. Sometimes you get a diamond in the rough for a bargain price. Sometimes you have to spend to get what you want. Hamilton and kiffin did what they thought was necessary to win in this league. Now, they should shut up and let the man and AD do their jobs. If in two years time they haven't gotten much return on the investment, then let them harp all they want. I agree, if they are still talking about the salary's they should give it a rest.

Not long after Kiffin was hired, everybody knew what Kiffin was making and what the budget was for the staff or at least pretty close. At first it wasn't that big of a deal. Now that we have hired arguably the best staff in the country, it all of a sudden becomes a big deal, mainly for opposing fans b/c their is nothing else they can think of to criticize UT for.

It's the off season, nothing much to cover right now so this is what we get. I don't care how much they pay the staff as long as we see continuous improvement over the years. UT athletics are self-sustaining and can do whatever they wish with the money they earn.

L4three, Agree wholeheartedly.We are 4th in the SEC. Next year at the end of the season our record will reflect the budget is money well spent. It could have been more. Do you know where we rate nationally????

Right off hand I don't know. I would say though we are in the top 10 or around there one.... Just a guess though.
