I know a couple of guys on here have talked about how cheap tickets are if you wait till just before tipoff and get them from a scalper outside TBA. I also know Knoxville or UT passed a law about exactly where these people can and can't sell tickets. So I am looking for some advice on where to get a couple tickets from a scalper and any thoughts on what kind of seats I might get if I go this route. Would probably be the Oakland game so it's not like tickets should be at a premium. Stubhub has some lower level sideline tickets in the $20-30 range.

Wow. You're super cheap. You're not finding those tix for less than that. I might go buy em right now...

I took my 3 year-old daughter to Savannah State just to see if she was tolerable to be around for a game. We got 2 tix for $20 30 minutes before tip off. Super easy to find and buy. I was tempted to dicker with the guy, but with a 3 year-old riding on my shoulders smacking me in the face with a UT shaker, I didn't have the patience.

Awesome, thanks for the info.

Awesome, thanks for the info.

Last thing...we got 200 level seats. After the renovations, there really aren't too many bad seats in the place. With crowds being smallish until the big boys start coming to town, you can have a good time for next to no money.

They passed the law, but the game I attended this year scalers were in thee normal spots.

A good judgment tool I've realized is stubbub, scalpels will always be cheaper than stub hub, but you will have to wait.

This game isn't a sell out so you an always pull the, look the ticket office has tickets for $10 man on the scalper.

If I had to guess, you can get lowers for 10 a piece, sideline lowers probably 15-20 a piece if you'll wait closer to tip.

You going alone?

Will be just 2 of us if we go. Not sure if my brother is going to be able to make it until this weekend. Didn't want to get them online and then not make the game. Figured scalping was the easiest way to go.

I was thinking about hitting up the game, if you wanna meet up and get tix let me know of your brother can't make it.

Nose bleed tickets on Black Friday are usually 7.00 for most games except Kentucky. I usually buy tickets for 4-5 games (Pitt, ucon, FL, etc over last couple years). I suggest buying those and moving down the day of the game if you find a good deal on game day. At least you have backup tickets if you can't get a good deal.

Speaking as a "scalper" who hates standing outside for 2 hrs before a game, Stubhub or even Ebay or Craigslist, are a better more sure alternative to getting good seats for less

Huh?

You're saying stubhub is cheaper than a scalper close to game time?

Yeah. The priced on StubHub are not too bad. And if I was 100% sure about my plans I probably already would have bought a couple tickets.
