comparing the 2 conferences this year, the first 4 or 5 games match up pretty well and then the SEC just shows the depth it has, so there is no reason y the Pac 10 should even be mentioned when we talk about the best conference

LSU - USC
Florida - Cal
Auburn - Oregon
Tennessee - Arizona St.
South Carolina - UCLA
UGA - Oregon St.
Alabama - Arizona
Kentucky - Stanford
Arkansas - Washington
Miss. St. - Washington St

and then we got Ole Miss and Vandy which could probably beat the bottom 6 or 7 in the Pac 10

How may catches did Don Beebe have for the Packers? He was such an integral part of their receiving corps that they went out and got Andre Rison off the street at midseason during their Super Bowl winning season.

I'm not your huckleberry tonight, big daddy. I'm not getting in a pissing contest over Don Beebe and Desmond Howard. All I was saying was that Howard could have been a little more respectful to Don Beebe's career in the NFL, rather than condensing him down to a lead blocker on a record kick return.

The only team in the PAC 10 Vanderbilt might beat would be Stanford. I love it when people try to use a team that hasn't had a winning season since 1982 as an example of the SEC's depth.

I'm sure Desmond Howard has no problem giving respect to those he feel merit it.

Concerning the PTI guys, they get paid to push the evelope and stir the pot. This comment was merely for ratings, so they could get people like us talking about them.

To say the PAC 10 is an all out better conference is ludicrous.

Desmond Howard=Heisman Trophy winner and Super Bowl MVP.
Don Beebe=Just another guy.

You are right; however, it can also be described as:

Desmond Howard = 98 cent bottle rocket in NFL
Don Beebe = better NFL player than Desmond

Yes, he certainly was being egotistical and inappropriate. Anyone that argues anything to the contrary is ignorant.

You have to remember Hat is as egotistical as well. He does know his sports though. If you don't believe me, just ask him.

Tony Kornheiser isn't any better. They both stink. ESPN has a knack for finding these type of people. It's amazing that the top sports station in the world has such mediocre talent. Boo Yah, I mean come on Stuart Scott, find another 'signature' phrase.

I'm late to the party on this one, but as a reflection on ESPN's talent pool - one of their guys on ESPN News (Mike Hill) used to be a sportscaster on WKRN here in Nashville.

Each broadcast, he would sign off with the phrase "Love, peace, and hair grease." (hand motions included).

Yep.

A little late to the party but... Beebe had more than double the number of receiving yard Howard had over their respective careers. They both have the same number of SB td's 1. Neither one had a pro career that was special but Beebe was the better wr. I mean Dexter Jackson has a SB MVP too. The only reason Howard stuck in the NFL was special teams so he should know what it takes to be a special teams player in the NFL, because he sure didn't know what it took to be a wr.
