on the ground that he personally thinks it's more exciting to watch skill players dominate games.

did he really say that? i've heard say before that the sec is the best conference.

They were talking about the USC upset, and right before they got done with the 2 min, he said "The Pac-10 is better than the SEC."

no matter what, that's just a simply laughable comment. the sec has 7 teams in the top 25 for crying out loud.

I'm watching the USC/Stanford reply...hilarious watching coach Harbaugh lip sinc BS after a ref's call.

I've been watching PTI off and on for about 6 months now. I have never been able to stand Wilbon. He's a NBA guy. He knows basketball. He don't know football.

He's also a big Northwestern/Chicago fan, even more to my theory he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about when it comes to NCAA football.

Tony Kornheiser is his daddy and he knows he is riding his coattails with the PTI halftime report. Wilbon is irrelevent to me, go write about the Chicago Bulls or something.

Wilbon is a smart guy usually. That was a terrible comment though. The SEC East is about as strong as the entirety of the Pac10 (5 teams), not to mention the SEC West has the #1 team in the nation.

I will give him that the SEC has two very good teams and everyone else. The PAC-10 can make just about the same claim.

Tony Kornheiser isn't any better. They both stink. ESPN has a knack for finding these type of people. It's amazing that the top sports station in the world has such mediocre talent. Boo Yah, I mean come on Stuart Scott, find another 'signature' phrase.

They are both loud mouths that just try to drum up controversy. I can't stand that show and I can watch/listen to sports shows all day long. Boy do I miss Dan Patrick.

When one of your teams lose to Notre Dame, you know you're not there yet.

It's getting close.

Michael Wilbon is insightful and clever when he comments on the NFL or NBA. However, when he ventures outside those subjects, it becomes obvious he really isn't paying attention.

Anyone see College Football Live today?

They were talking to that D2 running back that broke the NCAA record for rushing yards and Desmond Howard asked him a question. The question was basically "What's do you think your chances are at getting to the pros?"

Well after he asked the question he referenced a player he played with that was much like the running back, (as in a little guy from a little college) but the way he went about it was the most egotistical thing I've ever seen in my life.

Desmond says, "The guy that led block for me and sprung me to a 99 yard Super Bowl touchdown return, which is a record that still stands, was much like you. His name was Don Beebe."

Desmond Howard is trash and shouldn't be on the Big 10 Network much less ESPN. Don Beebe played 9 years in the league and averaged roughly 30 receptions a year and this friggen' guy references him as the guy that was my lead blocker on my record return.

What a tool.

On College Gameday, they asked him who the best one loss team is. He said, "Cal is the best one loss team, oh, wait, yea, Cal is the best, uh, um, yea I mean Oregon is the best one loss team because they came close to beating Cal etc..."

It was something along those lines. It took him awhile. Not to mention the hypothetical matchup between Texas and Cal that he broke down last bowl season.:eek:lol:
