Coleman backed up the high expectations on the field during his freshman season, totaling seven tackles, three tackles for loss and a sack in the first five games of 2025.

An injury kept Coleman off the field throughout most of November, but he did return to play eight snaps against Rutgers in the regular season finale. While it wasn’t the end of the season he was hoping for, by then, schools and media members across the country had already realized that Coleman has the potential to be a special player.

“Chaz Coleman has been one of the most dynamic true freshman pass rushers in college football this season,” wrote Rivals Scouting Director Charles Power when he included Coleman on On3’s 2025 Midseason True Freshman All-American team in mid-October. - On3

Penn State edge Chaz Coleman is someone that Jim Knowles just coached in Happy Valley and we think Tennessee would have interest there so we won’t be surprised if Knowles reaches out to him about rejoining him in Knoxville. Ohio State is thought to be heavily involved and the favorite with him being an Ohio native. Coleman visited Ohio State coming out of high school.

so this kid had 8 tackles and 1 sack.

Pearce as a freshman had like 17 tackels and 2 sacks.

After what we can see what Indiana is doing and what JMU did, I think we need to check these high prices a little bit. Ross is better than Chaz Coleman….

So we need Chaz and Ross and Herring! But this high price crap….we don’t need it

and chaz is more talented than Herring

and younger
He is younger and can add weight! That’s the thinking here, but Caleb can still get to 255, but would he still be elusive in his pass rush??

Maybe he doesn’t want to add weight. And that is why hes in the portal…

Herring had 8 tackles and 4 sacks in season 3. Chaz is better and has a higher ceiling

I’ll trust Knowles. Kid may be an absolute beast playing hurt and missed the last 4 games…
