Also spoke with four-star Penn State DL transfer Xavier Gilliam after his trip to Knoxville. He went to Indiana over the weekend, and he said he's scheduled to travel to Notre Dame next before making his choice. He admitted it's a big deal that he knows some of Tennessee's defensive staff, including defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, from his time at Penn State and he's already familiar with Knowles' system. Sounds like the Vols made a good first impression on Gilliam, but he's still going to take his remaining visit before making a decision later this week.
