PS3 new user question

Christmas- brand new 160 gig PS3 and it won't let me play anything! Because it updates more than a damned PC? Anyway what game is worth getting and anyone got thoughts on other stuff to check out. If and when it's done updating. 45 minutes I still can't play a danged game?

Depends what you like for games. The only games I have for ps3 are 2 versions of The Show, it's untouchable as far as baseball games go, but the online play is dog crap compared to the 2k baseball on xbox. Great single player though, it is capable of eating tons of hours if baseball is your thing.

And yeah, the PS3 updates are retarded long.

What's the best CFB game, is there only one, NCAA? Also how good do you have to be before trying to play online. Heck I have a host of questions but I'll just read up while it KEEPS effin updating.

NCAA is it. I don't recommend playing strangers online, it's a **** fest on 360 so it's probably the same for ps3. Get with some of the guys on here.

Check out Resistance Fall of Man and Resistance Fall of Man II. Both are excellent games IMO.

The updates can be frustrating at times. They release them for the playstation as well as the games periodically. Nothing worse than getting ready to fire up a game only to find out there is a patch waiting. The game patches are usually pretty quick, but the playstation ones are normally over 100 mb.

It something you'll have to get used to...

I have cod black ops and it's addicting but hard as crap. I haven't done gaming like this in several years with Halo.
How do you move up on multiplayer to get the gear you need. I am rolling with m-16 and these cats are decked to the 9's. Also I am a much better sniper but is that frowned upon?

Also thanks a lot for all the game suggestions.

U need to know every little nuance to play online. U get some good games & then u get some retards. Anything from scrambling to the option to doing gimmick kick on kickoffs.
