My wife is getting "us" a PS3 for Christmas and I'd like to know some of the must have games that are either better on or only available on PS3.

newegg.com has Buzz for the PS3 for $41 right now. Great quizz/gameshow game for parties.

Resistance 1 and 2 are both very good games.

Bioshock is excellent.

LittleBigPlanet is great fun for a family.

if you are into baseball, MLB 08 the show, has not left my playstation for about the past 8 months or so. it is nice because you can get on the net with it and download current rosters and injuries. the graphics and play are almost near flawless. you can never really go wrong with the latest ncaa football game either. i have 08 and not the latest version so i am not sure how ncaa football 09 is.

Is that little big planet thing ok?We are used yelln at each other over football..Females involved but she's louder than anyone!:)

Pixel Junk Eden, Pixel Junk Monsters, WipeoutHD, Bionic Commando, Mega Man 9 and Burnout Paradise are all great downloadable games off the PS store.

I'll second MLB The Show if you like baseball. They really made a fantastic single player sports game with this series and it's fun as hell.

MLB08 The Show-I'll echo what everyone else said here. Hands down the best game on the system at least as far as I'm concerned. Plays like real baseball and has options out the wazoo.

Please don't tease me! I have a 360, and I'm very happy with it, but I'm dying to play MGS4. I've been a big fan since MGS for PS, and it's absolutely murdering me. I guess I'm praying for the miracle to happen and them to somehow realease it on multiple discs for 360, LOL. Even though the chances of that are <1%.

If it makes you feel better, I found MGS4 to be rather boring. Well, at least the 3 chapters I forced myself to play before moving on to something I found fun. The cinematics and story telling in MGS needs a serious overhaul. It's painful and nothing even remotely fun watching an hour long cut-scene that could have been 10 minutes long...or the possibly funny to someone feces jokes.

Completely disagree with everything you just said. :)
bailey says he's always been a fan, which means he probably doesn't mind the long cut-scenes. I'm pretty sure you can skip them anyways. I know you can on your second playthrough, not sure about the first time around.
MGS4 is amazing.

And as everyone has said KillZone2 is insane. I have been in the beta for a couple of months now and the single player would have to be completely horrid for it to not come very close if not win game of the year.

You don't know how glad I am to read that. I've been looking forward to killzone 2 for quite some time. I picked up another PS3 Friday and bought MGS4, Little Big Planet, and Resistance 2. I figure i'll just use my PS3 for exclusives and still do a majority of gaming on the 360.

MLB The Show was the reason I bought the PS3. I also have LittleBigPlanet and would recommend it.
