Since I received knowledge yesterday that I was technologically outdated (thanks Lawson), I went and bought a ps3. I'm not playing online and I'm very old school so I manually type in the players' names. I got finished with the offense then went to eat supper. Everything was saved and I turned off the ps3. Now when I get on the home screen of NCAA Football '12 and hit start, I get an error message "There was an error in the start operation (80010514)".

Never could get passed the home screen. I checked it again before work and after a couple of tries it finally went thru. Didn't have time to edit my roster so I wanted to check and see if I could turn it off and back on again. Well, now it's giving the error message again.

Anyone have any idea if it's the machine, the game, me? I've sent an email to customer support but I'm very impatient. Sorry for the long post.

That is a blue ray drive error code. Did you just buy it from a store or did you purchase it from a second hand person?

Bought it from GameStop but it was preowned. So what does that mean?

I bought it last night. As I said, I'm very new to ps3 and didn't know if it was something that I was or wasn't doing. I couldn't figure out why I could get on it when I first hooked it up then couldn't.

To be honest, it was a stupid purchase. I should've bought a new machine. I will tonight though.

I think GS has a 14-30 day return period for consoles without purchasing an extended warranty. Definitely take it back as soon as you can and they will make it right. Good luck

He told me last night that I had 30 days. One year warranty was $40. So I should be able to return it and pay the difference for the new machine, right?
