PS2 and PS3 games

It works weird.

As far as I know the 20GB, 60GB, and the older 80GB model can play PS2 games.

The 40GB, Newer 80GB, and the 160GB model currently can't play PS2 games.

The recent 120GB, and 250GB cannot play PS2 games either.

I don't think they ever made a big 120g model.

Tabulator: PS3 Slim and Phat sized up -- Joystiq

This was good until the first slim versions came out.

(Obviously, Other OS is now gone unless you are running custom firmware; I'm sure the chart is a bit off in other ways, too. PS2 compat. is still accurate.)

The older fat PS3s with 4 USB ports are backwards compatible.

The newer fat PS3s with 2 USB ports and the PS3 Slims are not backwards compatible.

I own an old 60 GB model, and the ability to play, upscale, and smooth PS2 games definitely adds a lot more value. I still play PS2 games pretty regularly. Lately, I've been purchasing some of the top rated games that I missed out on cheap from Amazon.

Thats right, mines an 80. My bad. The ole lady had it in lay-a-way for me for quite awhile. Just got it this past christmas

I bought the slim PS3, and I think it's 250g

yup mine has 4 usb ports
