I don’t agree with you that it’s a Tennessee tradition. And it’s not a good idea when the play doesn’t work in the first place. Doing the same thing twice and expecting different results is the definition of insanity, yet that’s what your claiming we should do.
Nope, you don't get the point. He may have seen something in the execution that he thought wouldn't be repeated by the team. If he kept running the same play the rest of the game, that would be more of an example of insanity. I believe if you watch most games, you will see times in every game where a coach calls the same play over and over until it works. Running the same play twice in a row is not outrageous at all. It just so happens, they failed to execute both times.
