I don't think losing to specific teams is acceptable. There may be reasons why the team lost that can lessen the blow - but it is still NOT acceptable.

Sounds like you would be okay with a 3-9 season or another 4-8 season. I am not.

I don't see where you got that at all. My first year at UT happened to be 1964 - Doug Dickey's first year as HC. He did the best with what he had - 4-5-1 (1-5-1 SEC) that year while working to find better players and instill his way of doing things. He never failed to go to a bowl game and was very successful after that first year. You can't fix everything in year one, but if BJ's pansy schemes don't work, it sure as hell makes better sense to dump them at the risk of a poorer season for something to build on in future years. But then if you are of the instant gratification generation, you wouldn't get that

6-2 start and Pruitt should immediately be inducted into the CF HOF.

The off-season brings out a dichotomy of expectations, but the idea that we have top-15 talent is absolutely absurd. Heck, we don't have a top-50 roster, at this point.

Unfortunately, Pruitt lost me when he gave Vol fans the finger for not showing up to the Spring game. That was a stupid move. Our Spring games are never full. Someone should have prepped him for that but then he put his foot in that bad grammar mouth. So, best of luck to the Vols. I will continue to throw my support to my other team and wait patiently to meet Pruitt in person and put my foot in my mouth to make us even.

Coaching can help a lot with that. Doesn't matter your recruiting rank. Frost proved that at UCF. I believe they had classes around 50s-60s.
