Pruitt leaves early, does not address media after Clemson game.

The dude grew up in Alabama. He played high school ball in Alabama. He played for the University of Alabama. He coached high school ball in Alabama. He has coached at the University of Alabama three different times. How much more Bama can you get.

We do surely realize EVERYBODY is from somewhere don't we? My brother and I were talking Monday about the interweaving of coaches over the years from school to school (like the Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia etc connections) especially years ago...THATS THE WAY THIS BUSINESS WORKS....Some of UT's most beloved players and coaches worked AND played at rival SEC schools....ITS CALLED BEING A PROFESSIONAL....Fans get all emotional and crazy cause a new coach stopped one time in Alabama to fill his car with fuel...REALLY IMMATURE....but that's why they call them fans...having family members that played at one SEC school and coached for YEARS at another SEC with HUGE success I've seen how they react to all this...ITS NOT PERSONAL..ITS BUSINESS...

I hope the Championship game is a low scoring affair. What I would like to see in post game interviews is CJP ripping off that crimson to reveal the Orange jersey he has been wearing all along then Saying GO VOLS and dropping the mike!

I was following along on a Bama message board (they love US btw) and was struck by how similar the paranoia is between the two fanbases. We have the trolls like Woo, implying Pruitt is a plant to infiltrate and destroy and the Gumps have hatched the idea that their all-time Emperor Palpatine (Fulmer) has crafted his AD legacy around hiring Pruitt to milk info to pass along to the NCAA...results be damned. :w00t:

Same idiots different laundry.

Those Bama "fans" must not have much faith in their program if they think it is fueled by unearthed NCAA violations. Maybe they are thinking, like a lot of other people, that Bama recruiting and roster juggling is just a little too good to be true.

I hope they beat Georgia....I live in Georgia, and I had to hear it first thing this morning. This will be a long week.

this ... I live in Chattanooga and work in Calhoun GA... I am used to AL being the big dog .. if GA wins their fans will be even more obnoxious

I'm holding out for the asteroid

I don't even wanna know what a Georgia fanbase would be like fresh off a national title .

The dude grew up in Alabama, probably fulfilled a dream of getting hired by Saban, went back to Alabama, and his dad did not look happy during his opening press conference.

I'd be shocked if he wasn't a Bammer "through and through".

Just like Dabo Swinney? These kinda of posts are some of the dumbest things I have ever seen.

Who cares where he played his college ball or where he is from as long as he can win games.

Whether he ever develops loyalty to his new school depends on how well he perceives he is being treated by his new employer. If a certain previous AD were still here he would look to sour and sabotage the relationship over time so that Pruitt would never stay in the long term regardless of success. Now who knows? Bensel-Meyer is also watching.

I suspect the Offensive Coordinator he gave the latest public ass-chewing will soon depart for some other program, ala Lane Kiffin.

Yeah, people here rip Kiffin for not finishing Alabama's full season, but that is on Saban. He abused Kiffin, who rightly left as soon as he could. I do not blame him one bit.

Maybe if (*rumor) Kiffin hadn't been chasing donors wives and his own daughter while still married to Layla, Saban might have been a little nicer. If any of that is remotely true, I don't blame Saban one bit.

I don't be knowing, but watching an old interview really made me wonder. Some sports reporter had Kiffin's young children on the sideline, maybe it was before some big game in Tusc. And Kiffin looked uncomfortable, like he was worrying about how Saban would react. I mean the man looked too intimidated to enjoy the scene with his own children. I am talking about a scared look, and it was not connected to any gossip.

I am tired of hoping other teams have to be weak for us to be good. Get and develop players and then compete and beat good teams. If you are a great coach and at Tennessee then you can win championships regardless.

/Thread /discussions on true fans/CJP coaching for Bama/any other topic you can come up with to pull fan cards because peopke want a strong conference

Roll damn Tide until Tuesday then get our bidness done.

Me too.... ROLL TIDE all over a bunch of fair weather GA fans...even the Walmart down here jumped on the bandwagon...Georgia stuff was tucked away in the corner now they have a big ole cardboard statue of Smart and a canopy put up with all that Ga mess in it. That's why i love the VOLS, we are fans regardless. I am old enough to remember the guy that that camped out on the bill board sign in Kville until we won...

I'm old enough to remember camping out 3 days for Bama tickets on the UC sidewalk.

I grew up in Bama, I have family and close HS friends that went to Bama and the Barn school. A guy that I played HAS back with played for us at UT. This hate everyone else but TN just because gets old.

With his new DC next to him doing the same!
