Pruitt:"I will go to dadgum China for him if he's a player"

"You win with players, and it's not always the players ranked the highest...We're going to trust our evaluations and trust the connections and relationships we've cultivated over time as a staff."

It's hard not to chuckle while reading these articles. You could make a game using the quotes and try to guess which coach said them. The above quote could have easily come from Butch sometime over the past few seasons. Almost verbatim.

Wow, you did that so well you should be a pro. You perfectly snatched that quote out of context to support your position.

The rest of the same quote:

"There are players out there. You gotta go find them. Sometimes they're the so-called tier-two players. But most of the time, they're the players Alabama is getting, the players Georgia is getting, and that's who we need to be battling against and winning our share of battles against if we're going to get this program where we all want it to be."

Then he went on to say:

"But what you need is that you need 15 guys that you beat Alabama and Georgia on instead of three or four."

I'm really worried now. Doesn't he even realize that Chinese men are genetically smaller than Americans and the football program there is sub-par?

??

The work Coach Pruitt is putting into this job is impressive.

CJP is young and hungry, and he will do whatever it takes to win recruiting battles with Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

He understands, having worked in elite programs, what it takes to win on the big stage.

Let's all be thankful he's our head coach.

Chris Low, ESPN:
Jeremy Pruitt and new Tennessee Volunteers coaching staff aggressive from the beginning

Make no mistake... He better be willing to do it because every coach in the SEC has to be willing to, if they plan on staying very long. I expect Pruitt to work just as hard as Saban, Kirby, Malzahn, Jimbo, Mullen, etc.

You clearly haven’t been following the conversation. Never once said anything about JP being a head coach before. Lol. That hasn’t even been discussed. I simply don’t care whether JP has been a head coach before or not, he’s accomplished more and put together as far stronger resume as a DC than Lyle did as a head coach. Forget the titles, you say with a straight face that you think Butch Jones is a better FOOTBALL COACH than Jeremy Pruitt?
Never once have i mentioned butch jones and any titles. The post you replied to here was talking about jp as a head coach and you have no idea how we will perform as such, because he has zero experience.

You’re schizo man. You jump into a conversation I’m having with another poster, evidently with no context, and try to chastise me for supposedly not understanding that JP has never been a head coach before. I, incredulously, let you know that that hasn’t been part of the discussion at all, because I’m obviously aware he’s never been a head coach, especially if you’d actually read the exchange the other poster and I had been having.....and now you come with this? Dude, if this what you’re do, just stay out of the conversation that two other posters were having without you.

Additionally, and to no avail, I was trying to provide you with the context of our discussion, with the general crux of my argument, which you clearly didn’t have when you decided to weigh in. Just leave it alone dude.

It's funny how often this happens.

Look at how people laugh at grumpy old Saban, but make it seem like any other coach is stressed out when ey are combative.

Even on here. The "aight" is something Saban has been doing in pressers for years. CJP does it and we make shirts in the phrases honor.

I just think it's funny how we can so easily see the bright side of things when we have faith in the messenger.

However, I am one of those people. Trust your Evals CJP and staff!
