Pruitt, an Alabama native and former Tide player who played under the tutelage of Alabama defensive coordinator Bill Oliver, has climbed steadily up the coaching ladder - first as a high school assistant for then-Hoover head coach Rush Propst before getting his foot in the door at Alabama in an administrative role as Director of Player Development. Upon his promotion as an on-the-field assistant coach in early 2010, his impact as a recruiter became quickly evident as he was the primary recruiter of record for current Alabama starter D.J. Pettway (then a four-star recruit) and current Baltimore Ravens' star C.J. Mosley.
Pruitt was named 247Sports' Recruiter of the Year in 2012 for his efforts in landing five-star running back T.J. Yeldon (in a highly competitive and publicized battle with Auburn) as well as five-star defensive end Ryan Anderson and five-star safety Eddie Williams. Current Tide star Reggie Ragland was also reeled in by Pruitt as the primary recruiter and his efforts in Mobile - long a hot-bed of football talent - also netted him current Tide starter Alphonse Taylor who was a one-time FSU commit.
Jeremy Pruitt with Tee Martin could be the pairing of two of the most powerful recruiters in ALL of college football. One on offense. One on defense. This could turn out to be an extremely underrated coaching staff at just a glance.
