Well he should've with the talent that Richt left in the cupboard.....

Anyone who thinks this TN team didnt have talent is crazy. Playing well/being coached and being talented aren't the same things. Hell, look at the WRs alone that Butch managed to run off in Williams and (first year actually playing) Hurd. Naturally, Hurd wouldn't still be here as he would've been drafted as a RB, but if you add Williams to this Core with as accurate as JG is? Not sure theres a better starting WR/TE group in the country.

Talent wise we are top 15 in the country. Two years ago we were top 5 in the country. You give Pruitt that 2016 team and they beat everyone with a Bama Toss up on talent alone honestly, adding coaches who actually COACH just makes them look how they're supposed to. people jut don't like admitting that.

O had two wins against top 25 in his first full year in 2017, Florida #21 and Auburn #10 last year, he actually had three wins against top 25 wins in the half year he took over for Les against Ole Miss #23, Arkansas #25, and Louisville #13. (I guess it depends on the poll used)

Saban had two in 2007 against Tennesseee #21 and Arkansas #16.

His first season was in 2005 at Ole Miss. He went 3-8

Jimbo Fisher beat #13 Miami and #20 South Carolina at FSU in 2010, his first as head coach anywhere, I believe he was the head coach in waiting before 2010.

So I guess Pruitt is in good company. Stat is specifically for SEC coaches who are still active in the league though.
Jimbo coaches at TAM, he is one of the 14 head coaches in the SEC... the second part doesn't say they had to start their career in the SEC, why mention 14 coaches when only a few started as head coach in the SEC?
