Pruitt Defensive Clinic

He probably wouldn't think much of them and thats not a knock on Neyland its apples and oranges. Totally different game. That's like asking a Tesla Engineer what they think of 2 stroke engines. You can only compare those coaches and players to others from their eras because the game itself was entirely different. You're talking about a time when Jauan Jennings is big enough to have played OL or DT. A WR running a 4.8 was a top-end burner and their helmets were leather. The ball wasn't even the same shape.

My interest was not in contrasting or comparing defensive strategies. It was more in the vein of "Does Pruitt appreciate the legacy of the man who purportedly 'taught Bear Bryant everything he knew about football'"? I've never heard Jeremy express any opinion, pro or con, regarding the legendary coach who put UT football on the map. Every UT head coach since then toils in his shadow.

Gotcha. given that context I understand your question better. I am pretty sure CJP would really respect General Neyland his accomplishments and mindset.

What I love is that it is absolutely zero effort for Pruitt to talk football. It's literally his native tongue. I dont know what he is talking about, but it's obvious that he isn't an idiot.
