He was Fulmer's first pick.

I think Fulmer wanted Chad Morris but he took the Arky job. I believe that Fulmer's second choice was Venables but Venables took himself off the table before we made a hire. It came down to Steele, Tucker and Pruitt. Some believe that Steele would've been hired if Tee had agreed to be on the staff. Third or fourth, not first.
