It's strange, but he seems to have less defenders than Butch did at the end. Butch had people carrying water for him long after his Tennessee career was dead and buried. I can't stand Pruitt at this point, but he's still not as disgusting as Butch. Pruitt is a career assistant in over his head. I never had faith that Butch knew any level of coaching. I wonder why everyone seems united in disliking Pruitt. Did the Butch saga open everyone's eyes?

The problem is I don't believe it's going to get better in the future.

In 2021, they are @Florida, @Alabama, at Kentucky, @Missouri. They get Ole Miss from the West. They still play Georgia. And they have a non-conference game with PItt. It's not that Pitt is great, but any team that isn't inept can't be chalked up as an automatic win.

Lewis Grzzard said when it came to marriage he had come to the conclusion after 5 divorces that if he thought he might get married again he would instead just go out and find a woman he did not like and buy her a house. Because that would be the result any way.

I am beginning to think that UT has the same philosophy about hiring mediocre football coaches. We can save a lot of time and effort by finding another mediocre coach and give him a $6 mil buyout.

Memphis has STOPPED counting and has kicked out everyone with a "fire Pruitt" look on their face. Now they are boarding up the windows. Only the vote counters with Alabama football logos of some type on their shirts are allowed to stay and count votes.

I sure wish we could have gotten him but doubt it would have happened under any conditions with Fla. being his place. But the guy at Ole Miss - - - naaaaa never here again. Lots better to cut our noses off to spite our faces.

It’s year three, his recruits. NO EXCUSE for this kind of play. Out coached in every way, halftime adjustment is a good coach’s calling. He has none, we must not loose to candy. Arkansas has a first year coaching staff. I’ll just let that simmer.

I still don’t see Fulmer firing him during a covid year even if he loses out.

The guy proved before Y1 with his coordinator choices that he might be in over his head. He proved in Y1 that he couldnt make adjustments. The team quit the last 2 games. Georgia State. BYU. Still couldn't make adjustments. Finally played a bunch of crappy teams at end of Y2 and there was a mirage. Before Y3, his staff got downgraded. Still cant make adjustments. Team quit again. UK happened. 3rd quarter yesterday happened.

Yall, this guy ain't gonna get this done, aight?

Pruitt needs to be replaced after this season. A lot of you guys knew it before I was certain, but I know it now. I may be late to the game, but, sadly, I am ahead of the UT Administration. If they don't fire him now, they will 3 years from now, and we will have turned into Ole Miss if we haven't already. A once proud program...

It is abundantly clear to me, that the SEC is no longer a place for a wet behind the ears, brand new HFC to grow up, or thrive. Kirby Smart, being the exception, as he inherited a ton of talent from his predecessor. But, even Kirby struggled for a few years, until he latched onto a QB.
Wipe the slate clean, and get a PROVEN HFC!!! Or, leave the SEC, for a smaller conference, where we can develop talent, on the field, and wearing the headsets.
In boxing, fighters "Cut their teeth" on lesser competition, to develop their skill set, and find their identity, as a fighter, and the trainers/managers get a feel for them, and direct them, accordingly. If a fighter keeps getting knocked the eff out, he isn't learning ****. We keep getting KO'd, by SEC caliber teams, because we aren't an SEC Caliber Program. It's like a Golden Gloves Welterweight taking on top 5 Heavyweights. Its all good, until you get punched in the mouth.

To me the ideal hire is a guy getting it done in a non SEC power 5 conference with less talent than other teams in his conference, who wants a shot in the best conference in the country
