Pruitt’s Defense is Concerning

If it's first and goal from the 2, you cant leave the B gap wide open. They're gonna run right at it every time. They have all season when we line up like that.

I think this is the worst defense we’ve ever seen take the field for ut. And it’s not even a lack of athletes. We just constantly have blown coverages and can’t even line up properly

I couldn't agree more.

I have further serious concern about his player evaluation overall. We'd be 4-0 if he'd been starting this kid all year. I don't know how he got overlooked. Reminds me of our last coach.

They are young, and I'm convinced some of them don't have the desire to learn, shamburger can't get lined up and also refuses to wrap up on tackles. And we all know that isn't the way he is coached.

Exactly right. It’s obvious where the play is going to go based on our lineup.

A very young defense combined with a DL that get zero push. They make mistakes and it costs them dearly. That said, they’re beginning to flash more and more. They’re getting better and look like they’ll be very good in the future. Especially if they get the DL fixed.

You beat me to it. I was just fixing to post the same thing. There is no way Pruitt is this great defensive mind. Anybody can take defensive talent like he had at his previous stops. He can’t take average or slightly above average talent and and make them better. He he is such a “great defensive guru” why does our defense look like hot garbage

Me either, we have to understand he has coached with 4 and 5 star players everyone he has had success with along with a good hc also. So maybe he just did what the hc told him to do.

The D isn't playing well. The D IS very undermanned at this point. The D should be playing better than they are.
