2024? Why 2024? This aint Lyles program and BS anymore. I wanna know what his record will be in 2019 and 2020, because thats when well know what hes gonna do here.
Dabo isn't a former Saban assistant......
Also Pruitt is the one guy I would be scared of to leave. Kirby is never leaving UGA on his own choice. Its his alma mater.
Dabo isn't leaving Clemson at all. Especially if he continues playoff runs year after year. There is nothing he can bring Bama that they didn't have with Saban.
Pruitt is a Bama guy thru and thru. He's the one that scares me the most because if he has a decent record here by the time Saban hangs it up, Bama would likely target him if/when Dabo says no.
My mistake on the Saban coaching tree. However, Dabo is still in the conversation for mouthbreathing Bama fans as a Saban replacement. Which will not happen since he's built his own dynasty at Clemson and can name the height of his statue.
If Pruitt can achieve the same success at UT, it's a lot easier to keep said talent. He may be a Bammer at the core, but once you've achieved success in a location, why go somewhere else to start over?
Because Bama will throw the house at him if/when Dabo says no.
If Bama can get one of their own who has had success in the SEC and steal him from their rival, they'd easily pay a blank check to him.
Loved the Pruitt hire, but this is my one concern. Because of our luck with coaches, I also preferred Mel Tucker over Pruitt for this reason alone.
The minute Dabo says no, Bama fans/admin/boosters will most definitely freak out. If Pruitt is successful, those folks will be lining up to get him.
If Pruitt can build at Tennessee what former Saban assistants have done at other schools, namely Dabo, Jimbo and Smart, his destiny is his to control. Bama fans are slightly delusional in thinking they are just going to go back out and grab Smart or Dabo once Saban retires. And Pruitt's name has been mentioned in that talk as well. Those coaches have built something on their own name and accomplishments.
If Pruitt can build something special here and put his name on it, it makes it far harder for another team other than the NFL to come in and snag him away to include Alabama.
He gets his three years with Rocky Top to see what he can do. After that, who knows.
I know the season just ended, but this is a bit much for a way too early thread.

Well let's see, that's 7 seasons, so I'm gonna go with:
105-0
7 East division titles
7 SEC championships
7 national championships
We will have outscored our opponents by a combined total of 5040-0 in those 105 games.
The title game will probably be in 2025, fwiw.
EDIT: Actually, two of those last playoff games will likely be in the year 2025. And, when will they move to an 8-team playoff? Is there a contract in place now...?
