The D played really hard, never gave up. The offense was just missing too much on the O line and without Evans for pass pro and to break long runs, they just didn't quite have it tonight.
Who knows though, still 54 seconds left with 3 time outs....

We need depth in key positions bad. That was the key tonight. I’m not mad at how we lost. Got a tough few weeks. Injury bug will hurt for the next month.

Tennessee played much better in the second half. I really think all those “injuries” kept Tennessee from playing their pace…..and forced them to play more of a slow game…..which their not good at yet (I think some of that was by design from Mississippi).

Going to say it. This was one hell of a game that in the end, could have went either way.
If anyone told me at the start of the season that we would be missing two offensive line starters, playing the number 13 team on the road, with a heisman contender, and lost by about 11 yards, I would say okay then. Great effort. The goal was always 6 wins and I believe we have them at the end of the season. Kentucky is the next winnable game.

Exactly. You know you are in deep when you got Ollie Lane and Dayne Davis playing most of the game. Nothing against them but they should probably be playing at Carson Newman. I haven’t seen so many matadors out side of a bull fight. And We missed Evans too. Bless Jabari Small but he hasn’t blocked anybody yet.
