Has anybody every had either one of these. I just came back from diagnosed with both of these conditions.

Did they give you antibiotics? I think Epididymitis is usually due to bacterial infection. And I would guess that would be the underlying cause of your other diagnosis, too.

So i just read up on it, no need for a lunch run to Subway any longer.

Epididymitis

Among sexually active men aged <35 years, epididymitis is most often caused by C. trachomatis or N. gonorrhoeae. Epididymitis caused by sexually transmitted E. coli infection also occurs among homosexual men who are the insertive partners during anal intercourse. Sexually transmitted epididymitis usually is accompanied by urethritis, which often is asymptomatic. Nonsexually transmitted epididymitis associated with urinary tract infections caused by Gram-negative enteric organisms occurs more frequently among men aged >35 years, men who have recently undergone urinary tract instrumentation or surgery, and men who have anatomical abnormalities. Although most patients can be treated on an outpatient basis, hospitalization should be considered when severe pain suggests other diagnoses (e.g., torsion, testicular infarction, and abscess) or when patients are febrile or might be noncompliant with an antimicrobial regimen.

That's good that it is bacteriological, imo. If it was just some chronic inflammation for mysterious reasons, or some auto-immune thing, you could be sol and dealing with it for a long time. If you do what you are told and take your meds, lay off the booze, and maybe add more garlic and onions to your diet, I bet this all goes away over a few weeks.

Gotta take care of those parts. Not to freak you out, but Chlamydia is often the microbial culprit apparently (I've been reading). Now, that little bugger is around in this world a lot more places than other people (cats get Chlamydia infections in their eyes), but all the same- that sucks.

I started reading on webmd and started freaking myself out becausse the more I read the more I thought I had about 20 things.

I'm just glad that it's something meds will take care of and nothing to serious.

My sympathies are extended. Take a hot soak every night to improve the blood flow so the antibiotics will get to the right place. Support is your friend. If you don't get it cleaned up, it can make you sterile.

When the urologist was examining me, I was on my tiptoes trying to levitate just to get away from him. He put the fear of God in me.....told me if the antibiotics didn't work, he'd have to peel 'em like a grape.

I actually have had a little case of prostatitis twice, and I'm not even 30 yet. My doc said it was caused by stress and, well...he probably told you. It's better if you..."you know" as much as possible. It's important to clean the pipes, apparently.
Very uncomfortable, but it goes away after some antibiotics. You'll be alright.
