In the last 5 games he has made 11 out of 12 attempts, going 4/4 on 40-49 yarders. Medley finished the season 20/29 on FGs (went 0/3 on 50+ yard attempts). All things considered that's not a bad season for a kicker.

Gotta admit I was pretty hard on the guy this season, but I am impressed with the way he has turned things around. He has quietly gone about his business and seems much more confident than he was at the beginning of the season. I think he's officially over his slump.

Go Medley!

I liked the way he finished the season. He was also 49/49 for extra points. He can be an asset to the team next year if he keeps up the consistency.

Medley finished strong padding his stats with relatively easy kicks against bad teams. Still don't trust him to make a pressure kick in crunch time. Sorry just the truth.

I was pretty down on em too. Glad he shrugged off the soph slump. IMO we're gonna have one of the best kickers in the nation the next two years.

Seriously... It dont matter who they are playing it don't change his approach to a kick. Great recovery by medley.

I see both sides of the love/hate with Medley, but like other posters were saying, you can not just look back and pin our losses on him. Yes he missed important FGs in OK, FL, and AL games that could have potentially meant winning those games. But you can also say if the defense stops OK and FL on 4th down we never need Medley to make those kicks, you can ask a WR or Dobbs to have made one more play, Hurd or AK to have broken one more big run. It just does not work like that in football, you win and lose as a team. It is not fair for all of us, or the many that do, to thrust all of that pressure and blame on Medley and judge him for a few bad games. I am glad to see the young man improving and losing the jitters so he can truly display his talents, and hopefully make some big kicks down the road for us.

Medley cost us the game against Oklahoma. You can blame others but if he hits that chip shot, we win that one. I don't blame him for Florida, but he did miss, and we did lose because of that miss. He cost us some points against Bama that very well could of helped us win the game.

Oh, sorry I'm being a negavol. Let's continue to blindly praise this kid for trying his best.

As a player you are judged by what you do against your rivals and in important games. The sad truth is he missed kicks against our best competition and that resulted in us losing. Butch talks about "learning how to win" against good teams, well Medley needs to learn how to as well. His next shot against a good team in a game that matters will be against UF. God speed

To say his miss cost us the game is an ignorant point of view. Why not blame someone that missed a tackle? Or that a linemen missed a block? Or the quarterback that missed a receiver...or a running back that missed a cut back. This is a team game and to lay everything at the feet of one kid simply because he had the last opportunity is foolish. Did he have the chance to overcome the entire teams mistakes throughout the game? Sure. But he certainly isn't the reason we lost.

I like the kid, but let's face it. He's getting a full ride to do A JOB!!!...kick off and more importantly kick FGs! No kicker's gonna hit them all...and the kid had a good second half of the season, but he failed in the most pivotal spots of the season. I'm not gonna pat him on the back for being more consistent the last 5 games. I EXPECT an SEC kicker to be that consistent ALL season.

The OC and DC failed just as bad in those losses - and have you seen UFs SEC kicker ?
