As a Vol fan, I have seethed for years at Manning not winning the Heisman back in 97 or so, losing out to Charles Woodson. But guess what, Woodson has had a long and exceptional pro career--just named NFL defensive player of the year. I gotta hand it to Woodson--he's been a credit to an award that has lost a lot of credibility in my mind. I disliked the guy forever because it took the award from Manning, but he can play the game.

Right...because Peyton, his four NFL MVP awards and all of his NFL passing records wouldn't have done justice to the Heisman.

Also, Woodson can sit his sorry *** at home and watch Peyton's playoff run since Woodson and his great Green Bay defense just got lit up last weekend.

Agreed. He doesn't get enough credit.

Geez, almost as much whining on here as the main board. Peyton's had the better career, won MVP again this year, and yall still can't give props to Woodson for a great season. He deserved the award, even over Revis.

I guess, if you call 45 interceptions an exceptional career.....
but based on the numbers this year, I would say he deserved it as well.
