SEC officials will occasionally acknowledge when they make an incorrect call. I think after the 2002 Alabama game they made such a statement.
You talking about the old Brodie Croyle knee down shovel pass to the RB that went on a 30 yard scamper on a 3rd down. Yeah that sucked. That might not be what happened but my memory is fuzzy.

I don't know when (last 2-3 weeks?), but I saw a blurb in an article where CPF said he had gotten an apology from the SEC officiating office on that erroneous call. Can't remember whether it was an informal (phone call) or formal (letter) apology. Try searching the Tennessean archives as I think it was in there.
