Didn't Ko play for SCAR? If I remember right. I remember Jenkins a lot from that big hit on Hardesty early in our game against them. I was going for the Vols but loved seeing that type of play. Gilmore was good early for SCAR too though. And Honey Badger made a lot of plays from his nickel spot his first year.

USC is correct... kid had six picks his freshman year and left after his SO. year...

No, that wouldn't fix anything. Our 4th LB, the Jack, is basically a DE.

:salute: The starting Jack's would be DE's in the 4-3, so it doesn't help UT's LB depth at all... UT would play an above average amount of nickel if one of the 3 LB's (excluding jack) were hurt...

Gordon should be ahead of Coleman at CB anyway...

Gordon is a decent nickel and seems to have improved his cover skills. I just have this weird feeling that Coleman is going to be our best DB this year. He took his lumps, but he just seems to fly under the radar and go about his business. The kid is a ridiculously underrated athlete.

Hey we play on Aug.31st. Don't want you to miss the game. :)

Although Ive had dreams of missing UT games. I'm on this one. I was speaking of the morning after. When the whole NC state team wakes up and says to themselves WTF!!!!! happened!... Specifically The O lineman who wander where this mountain of a man named McCullers came from and who in the hell decided to rate him at only 3 Stars. :good!:...Good lookin out thu.....GBO

Star is a difficult position to play and Gordon has shown comfort in it. It's a lot of responsibility and a lot to learn. He's the hands-down favorite to start there and will be on the field a lot.

I agree with you on Coleman. Him and Prewag should be a solid pair for us this year and I think Gordon steps up for us this year if he can adjust to the new defense.

But I'm most excited to see how much Coleman has improved. He sruggled at times last year but he was a true freshman starting for a very young team that had a lot trouble pressuring the qb...that situation would be tough for even the most talented cb to succeed in. He's got the tools to be very good and I think he will be, especially if we can improve our pass rush.

This. I believe Smith was built for the Jack position, and expect him to have a break out year. Williams is certainly a solid back up, but there's way too much talk of him taking Smith's spot.

I agree 100% man. I think the Jack spot is perfect for jaq I expect big things this years from him. We have allot of potential to be a damn good dfense.
