Ok here's my problem that just started this morning.

I have 2 Xbox 360s; downstairs I have an older 20 gig model and upstairs I have the newer 250 gig model. The one downstairs I mainly use for Netflix, the one upstairs I use for gaming. So when I go back and forth, I use the Recover Gamertag process. I've been doing it for months.

This morning I go upstairs to play and recover my gamertag and go through entering everything. It goes through the first screen and gets my gamertag, but the next screen where it downloads my profile, I get the following error:

"Xbox Live signup is currently unavailable. Please try again later".

It's been doing this for 2 hours now. I go back downstairs and because I started the recovery, the other one doesn't have the profile anymore and when I tried to recover on that one, the same thing happens. Now I can't use either one of them.

Has anyone else run into this? I checked the status of Xbox Live and there isn't any maintainance going on. I've googled the problem and they said to delete the profile (only profile, not items or I'd lose my saved games) and then recover again and it should work but that didn't. I want to avoid calling Support if possible because of the 20 or so accounts I've read, almost all said Support just gave them the run around.
