Problem with PS2 Online (Help Wanted)

Ok. Heres the deal. Since my wireless router is downstairs and my ps2 upstairs i'm wanting to get my ps2 online via my laptop which is set up on a wireless network. I have the crossover cable, and I have bridged the connections of the wireless network and my LAN but I am never able to get passed the DNS Authentication. It's really frustrating, especially since i paid 10 bucks for the crossover cable. Help would be much appreciated. (Wemus)......

figured it out. just had to fool around with the ip addresses a little bit. but its still not fully working since every time i get online to play somebody my connection gets lost and i end up losing the game. because of this i have a really sucky record and dont know what to do about it.:banghead2:

out of the last 15 games ive played, ive finished only one of them. anyone know how to fix the connection from being lost so frequently?:dunno:

Are you hosting or you joining random games and playing vs? something is not right having that many dissconnects

i almost always go to "play now". like i said my connection is through my laptop wirelessly with a crossover cable. i've managed to connect this way by bridging the local area connection and the wireless connection, but it seems in almost every game i lose the connection before i even reach halftime. it sucks. i've lost alot of games this way, and the ones i've lost i was winning against my opponent when i disconnected for the most part. its really frustrating and am hoping for a way to fix this problem..:no:
