I’m not defending Butch as better than Pruitt, I’m just pointing out that Butch did at least get a competent QB on campus and got him on the field. That’s more than Pruitt has done since he’s been here. Also, this is Pruitt’s 10th loss by 21 points or more to one of our big 3 rivals. Not exactly a ringing endorsement so far of his head coaching abilities.
JG is Butchs recruit. Did u miss the memo? please sit down

Pruitt has to stop wearing that stupid neck gaiter around his head like he is some redneck gypsy. Can't take his decision making serious at all while he dresses like a legitimate clown.

Look, if you are having a hard time seeing that we are clearly a better team today than we were when CBJ you need personal help.
I am just as disappointed as everyone else. We had the lead at half and then turned the ball over for the first time this year in the second half.
We are clearly better than we were. Especially on the on the defensive side of the ball.

To be fair.

As bad as Lyle “Butch” Jones was. In his 3rd year he beat Georgia and had a chance to win every game. His worst loss was by 7 points at Oklahoma and he had every chance to win that game.

Today was an embarrassment and it’s embarrassing for anyone to try and defend it.

We got two other quarterbacks who have been in this system for two seasons now, all JG did in this game was throw two good passes, that is it, you trelling me we cant get that production out of Maurer or Shrout? I dont get the loyalty to JG when he costs games, quarterbacks with less experience are thriving at other schools, he is what he is. move on.

u just want to blame Pruitt so bad. The mental gymmastics are great. Sit down boy

Pruitt is the head coach of both of the QB’s your criticizing, not Butch. The only mental gymnastics here are the ones that make someone believe their play isn’t a reflection of Pruitt and his staff’s coaching. Also, Pruitt’s the one that made the decision to keep JG here and roll with him and to continue doing so. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I'm still high on the team as a whole, D played great. I'm mystified that we don't have any other options at qb, fire Weinke I guess?

I thought the defense played fine despite the 37 points given up. We had alot of silly penalties that lead to points as well. I still like our team tho. We have to be better on offense tho (scheme, play calling, blocking, QB, everything) to beat the really good teams in this conference.

No need to panic.

So what is plan B for QB? Are we really That poor at qb depth to not even pull JG for a single series? What if he gets injured? Do we just cancel the rest of the season? There is no excuse in year three of a coaching tenure to not have a backup reliable enough to play at least a single snap. Are the Backups really THAT BAD?
They’re so bad that they could have hurt us worse than JG did when he turned it over 3 times in second half, lol

JG is exactly what you see. If Kiffin was the QB coach for the next 10 years he would still suck.

Sure, we are a better team today than we were at the lowest point in program history. But, we still aren't SEC fast, we aren't very disciplined, we aren't particularly athletic, we don't have elite talent. We can't afford to make the kind of mistakes we are prone to and still beat teams who are + in all of those areas.

So yeah, we are better than we were 3 years ago, but we are still extremely average in relation to the upper echelon of the SEC.
