Me too, but he wouldn't have to make many to match Davis' total. Would it be any more shocking than when Dwight Miller put on his 3pt shooting display vs Ole Miss last year?

Uhm yea, a lot more shocking. If you had seen any tape of miller youd know he could hit the 3, same cant be said for Noel.

And yall wondered why Noel was being called overrated?

And let me say this...Kentucky playing a walk on PG in the closing minutes over narrow should tell you a lot about this teams talent/depth.

Yup. I'm going to let one game totally let me call a player overrated or not, especially against a top 40 team with a first round 7 footer on the team.

I think you just further proved my point, appreciate that.

What point? That you are completely overreacting to one game? That Mays/Goodwin/Harrow have played completely out of control and not slowed the game down? Poythress has eight points. Is he overrated?

Noel isn't as good as Davis. He's also had 5 stocks and nine rebounds in his first game against a 7 foot first round pick in a neutral site game against an NCAA Tourney team. Not too shabby.

Easy killer, just simply pointing out he's offensively challenged...i seem to remember people saying he'd be in double digits off dunks and layups alone, one game down and that theory already proven incorrect.

He's gonna have a tough go of it, that's all im saying, we can revisit this all year.

Davis was surrounded by NBA talent too( 5 other players drafted). This team doesn't have 6 guys that will be in the NBA next year on its roster.

Wouldn't you think that'd give a projected top 2 pick the chance to "show out" some more than maybe Davis had the opportunity to do?

That statement is ludicrous.

Exactly the opposite. Davis was able to share the load with 5 other NBA talents. If Davis had been asked to carry UK in the first couple games last year, he probably would have struggled too.

Hmmm I think he'd have put up bigger numbers, fg% would've been down, but he'd have scored more I think.

Davis had his share of single digit scoring games too.

Yup he sure did...we will see as the season goes along, I just think he'll struggle to average double digits.

I'll also add, to this point I've been more impressed with Cauley-Stein than Noel.
