The nugget of truth in this post is a reflection of the dividing line on this site. These programs EXPECT to be elite. You can throw Michigan, Texas, UF, and FSU in there too. Maybe others.

"Wanting" to be elite leads you to excuse underperforming coaches and find satisfaction in 9 win seasons with 11 win rosters. "Expecting" to be elite makes it completely unacceptable to lose to USCe and Vandy with the East then the Sugar Bowl on the line... NO excuses.

Boom... nailed it.. i expect Tennessee to be elite, i expect Tennessee to have elite coaches and players. If you dont expect that, then go root for a group of 5 conference team..
