1. Huge NBA scouting presence in attendance. I counted at least 10 GMs or Personnel Directors in attendance.
2. I'm surprised at how small the UCONN contingent is tonight. They normally ride the train in and pack the Garden.
3. Talking to the scalpers outside, they said the Kentucky loss made them want to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge. This went from being a huge moneymaker for them to a financial bloodbath.
4. It's all I can do not to laugh in the faces of the Kentucky fans who went ahead and made the trip. I guess they've never heard of vacation insurance.
5. I'll be stunned if G-W keeps this close.

My pals at the Garden hooked me up very well. I'm about 20 rows up directly behind Dick Vitale.

Hat, do you expect UConn to recover from last year and make a Sweet 16 run after last year's disapointment. Will the fact that they've grown up alot from last year help?

Hope you don't get a lot of blinding glare coming off his bald noggin. Might have to wear sunglasses... :eek:lol:

sweet, when does Memphis play? I would like to see what you think of Derrick Rose.
I know what he'll see in Derrick Rose. He's a huge talent and will more than likely be at Memphis for one year before he's wowing 'em in the NBA.... You really need to watch them play tonight on ASSPN II...

UCONN appears just as undisciplined and disorganized as last year. Shot selection appears to be a foreign concept to them. All they have to do us dump the ball inside and they'll kill G-W.

Hat, do you think the refs are calling this game a little to tight? ALOT of fouls called early, the garden looks like a ghost town to. What are you wearing in case they point in on Dicky V?

The referees have been instructed to clean up the game for the 35th straight year. They'll call early games tight, then revert to letting combat ensue. I've got on a light blue sweater and black leather blazer, but I doubt the camera angle will hit that high.

GW's only chance to crawl back into this is by hitting some threes....Clearly outmatched, number 4 looks like a good player though.

There were a couple of people with blue shirts (couldn't tell if they were sweaters) and maybe black (or dark brown) leather blazers back there...but I'm not sure they were 20 rows back.
