A guy on another board posted his predictions and why. I thought it would be fun for us to do the same.

1 - N. Oliver, DB, 3 stars - I think ND tried to publicize the fact that they pulled his scholly after he told them he was headed to the Hill. I think its a case of CCW trying to save face.

2 - Greg King, LB, 3 stars - I think he committed right after his visit and asked that it be kept on the dl.

3 - Marsalis Teague, ath, 3 stars - I said all along that this one wasnt over. Too many rumors too think that he doesnt end up on the Hill. I still worry about Bama but in the end I think he's a vol.

4 - Marlon Brown, WR, 4 stars - He's a Vol after this visit. CLK made him his #1 target and it will pay off.

5 - Alshon Jeffrey, WR, 4 stars - Wanted the glitz of USC, but not the distance. He wont find that glamour at SoCar. Vols Baby.

6 - Darren Myles, DB, 4 stars - CMK made him his #1 and this kid wants to make it to the NFL. Vol on signing day.

7 - Pearlie Graves, DT, 4 stars - Was willing to leave the state to go to UM at one time. Tells me he wants to broaden his horizons. I think CEO is after him and bags the big fella in the end.

8 - Q. Washington, OL, 4 stars - Perhaps my shakiest prediction, but he is a "must get" imo.


<isses:

1 - P. Patterson, WR, 4 stars - Ole Miss. Nutt reels him in.

2 - P. White, OL, 4 stars - I coveted him, but home town pull is to much to overcome.

3 - Morgan Moses, OL, 4 stars - After CLS left it was over.

5 - O Charles, WR/TE, 4 stars - Never had a legit chance. UGA or FSU.

6 - G Reid, DB, 5 stars - Bama lock.

7 - A Phillips, OL, 4 stars - Already has one foot out the door and the other follows on NSD.

8 - J Stokes, WR, 4 stars - We get Zooked. You can thank Malik.

9 - Hardy, RB, 4 stars - Home town gets us again.

10 - Hall, OL, 4 stars - Slight chance with his buddy coming, but not nearly enough.

My possible surprises:

*Sam Montgomery, DE, 4 stars - I think this is such a real possibility that I almost put him in the first list.

*4 star LB/S Frankie Telfort, part of the Rivals 250, is my NSD surprise.

Thanks Rex. These are always fun to read. I hope you are right . . . at least on the top part of the list.

I don't know how other people feel, but I think we break into the top 10 with some big surprises. I also can't wait until this is over so I can start working again.

I would add Tana Patrick as a NSD surprise. I think we have a real shot at him, especially with CLT on the hill.

I really wish we did not have such soft people like A. Phillips and Oku, feel we need both

This would be a surprise. Haven't heard anything about him since he dropped us. Do you know something or is this a gut feeling?

i have a good feeling these guys are all vol.

1 - N. Oliver, DB, 3 stars - I think he's officially comitted by the weekend.

2 - Greg King, LB, 3 stars - Already a vol. Might be a prep guy.

3 - Marsalis Teague, ath, 3 stars - Mom's love is too much and he stays home in Tenn.

4 - Marlon Brown, WR, 4 stars - CLK goes all in and it pays off with the pot.

5 - Alshon Jeffrey, WR, 4 stars - Wants to be a pro and I agree with Rex, he's not leaving the East.

6 - Darren Myles, DB, 4 stars - This is a tough one. I think Monte gives us a chance until the very end, when he signs with Bama.

7 - Pearlie Graves, DT, 4 stars - At one point I thought he was a UT silent. He didn't make the trip to OU and this makes me know he's a vol.

8 - Q. Washington, OL, 4 stars - Agree with Rex, he's a must get with Phillips wavering. On the 4th, CLK and co. makes him realize Knoxville is where it's at.

9. - Sam Montgomery, DE, 4 stars - In the end, distance from home and playing time is why we beat out the Bayou Bengals.

10. - Z Mason, TE, 3 stars - Z knows what's best for him in the end and that's more NFL experience. A vol.


1 - P. Patterson, WR, 4 stars - Same deal as with Teague, except momma likes Ole Miss.

2 - P. White, OL, 4 stars - I don't know what to think with Peter. I agree he stays home with the Terps.

3 - Morgan Moses, OL, 4 stars - The fact he surprised everyone with a visit is amazing...I think somebody sold him on the fact that he still loves UT and not L. Scott. NSD surprise.

5 - O Charles, WR/TE, 4 stars - Just entertaining our staff's request. FSU Nole.

6 - G Reid, DB, 5 stars - I don't even want this drama queen...FSU as well.

7 - A Phillips, OL, 4 stars - We've been recruiting this kid the longest and that helps in the end to secure his sig.

8 - J Stokes, WR, 4 stars - Even Frank Wilson wont be able to shore up Mr. Stokes...blood is thicker than water and that is what leads the Stokes boys to Michigan.

9 - Hardy, RB, 4 stars - We were so late to the party that it's too much to overcome. It's close but I think he stays at USM.

10 - Hall, OL, 4 stars - Even with Mike in his ear I think we've been out of this one for a while...the Ohio St. U

My possible surprises:

1. - Tana Patrick, LB, 4 stars - I think we make the biggest and last impression on Tana.

2. - Chris Freeman, OL, 3 stars - If we don't sign one of the top 4 OL we're after I think we push for and get Chris.

3. - Petey Smith, LB, 3 stars - If Bama decides they have no room for Petey, he's Knoxville-bound.

Just from everything I've read I think this is who will sign with us if not already committed:

King
Teague
Brown
Montgomery
Jeffrey
Myles
Graves
Mason

I'm not convinced on Washington just yet, but wouldn't be surprised if he signed with us.

Stokes goes elsewhere.

Phillips is a toss up at this point.

I think if we get any surprises it will be either one of those guys staying.

My prediction is that we actually lose 2-3 good recruits on NSD and the only good suprise is that we get Montgomery. Man I hope I am wrong. GO VOLS!!

why is it that some kids don't sign on NSD? It means national SIGNING day! I think the NCAA should say you have to sign on NSD. What do u guys think?

lacy really liked his bama visit and said he was thinking bout taking a visit here this week... dont like are chances with him

a.phillips- said he was 95 % sure about his commitment to ut after fsu visit doesnt see him going anywhere else.

telfort- my boy is friends with him and there is no chance he comes here

i like are chances wit pat patterson for some reason but its 50/50 with ole miss
