I think since Paterno was able to hang on to his job I think Fulmer may get the same treatment. The only thing I think might change that is if Cutcliffe returns as head coach. I'm not saying I'm for this move but I wouldn't doubt it coming to fruition. I think he had as much to do with Tennessee's success as Fulmer did.Everytime Cutcliffe leaves UT the downward trend begins.

I feel better. My prediction that we would beat Alabama last week is no longer the worst VN prediction of 2008.

The two worst predictions I've ever made on this board are both the result of straying from my preseason predictions on the Tennessee-Alabama game and losing my mind and believing Fulmer could actually beat Saban. I don't ever have to worry about making that mistake again.

I don't want Fulmer or Cutcliffe.

That would be the status quo.

I don't think we've gone far outside of the family since Neyland. Even Dickey was a hire because Bob Woodruff was his former coach at Florida. So technically, we haven't hired anybody that didn't have some kind of Tennessee ties in 80 years...

The only way Fulmer stays is if he works for free next year and donates $2mil this time.

I dont think cutcliffe will leave duke. Duke has won 4 games this year. Thats more games than their football team has won in a long time. The expectations are low there and they will probably give him a raise after this year.

I think that Cutcliffe and Fulmer are too close. Cutcliffe won't come to Tn under the circumstances of CPF's departure.

Coach Cut is NOT coming back...He's a got a nice cushy job at Duke now...He's won 4 games there and they think he is god like...Let him enjoy it
