So we're about a week into fall camp. We've heard the rumblings about who has impressed and whose playing where. So lets get the predictions started on how the depth chart is gonna look before the first game against Georgia Tech.

Offense
QB - Q. Dormady (Jr.) / J. Guarantano (RS Fr.)
RB - J. Kelly (Jr.) / T. Chandler (Fr.) OR T. Jordan (Fr.)

WR1 - J. Jennings (Jr.) / J. Palmer (Fr.)
WR2 - M. Callaway (So.) / B. Johnson (So.)
WR3 - T. Byrd (So.) / J. Smith (RS Sr.) OR L. Williams (RS Fr.)
TE - E. Wolf (Sr.) / J. Johnson (Sr.)

LT - D. Richmond (RS So.) / B. Kendrick (RS Sr.)
LG - J. Jones (Jr.) / V. Boulware (RS So.)
C - J. Robertson (Sr.) / C. Thomas (Sr.)
RG - T. Smith (Fr.) / V. Boulware (RS So.)
RT - B. Kendrick (RS Sr.) / M. Tatum (So.)

Defense
DE - J. Kongbo (RS Jr.) / K. Phillips (Jr.)
DT - K. Vickers (RS Sr.) / Q. Picou (Jr.) OR M. Butler (Fr.)
DT - K. McKenzie (Jr.) / S. Tuttle (Jr.) OR A. Johnson (RS Jr.)
DE - D. Taylor (RS So.) / D. Johnson (Fr.)

WLB - C. McDowell (Sr.) / Q. Sapp (RS So.)
MLB - D. Kirkland (Jr.) / D. Bituli (So.)
SLB - A. Smith (RS So.) / D. Bates (RS Jr.)

CB - J. Martin (Sr.) / C. Labruzza (Fr.)
CB - E. Moseley (Sr.) / B. Buchanan (So.)
NB - R. Gaulden (RS Jr.) / S. Wiggins (Sr.)
FS - T. Kelly Jr. (Sr.) / M. Abernathy (Jr.)
SS - N. Warrior (So.) / E. Berry (Sr.)

I expect the impact true freshmen to be CB Cheyenne Labruzza, DT Matthew Butler, DE Deandre Johnson, RG Trey Smith, WR Josh Palmer, RB Ty Chandler, and RB Tim Jordan. They should all get lots of playing time this season.

Reasonable prediction.
I like what I see.
Id like to see 3rd team too. After last year I realize that 3 deep is a little more telling than just the 2 deep.

Star Breakdown of the 2-deep (22 players on offense AND 26 players on defense).

Offense: 10 4/5-stars vs 12 3-stars
Defense: 17 4/5-stars vs 9 3-stars

Significantly more talent (at least based on stars) on our defense. This is one of the main reasons I believe we will be a more dominant defense team this year than an offensive team. Last couple of years its been Josh Dobbs and the offense that has carried the team. This year I believe the defense will be the leading force on the team. Though the offense should be pretty good as well.

For individual players it is crap. We see 3-star players end up being better than 5-star players every year. But the star system is useful for gauging the overall talent level of a team or in this case of one side of the ball versus another.

So the stars matter only when you combine them? Lol

Can't disagree with anything said here. Wiggins will be the first off the bench. It would be the same with Boulware.

I am always confused by your post... on another thread you talk about stars are BS and.depend on who attends camps and pays the money and on another thread you quote stars.

We were vastly more talented than SC and Vandy last year on both sides of the ball. How did that work out?

So what if he does. Hes done more on the field than nearly every one ahead of him in this projected 2 deep. Hes improved tremendously every year since hes been here.

Shoop said he views Jumper as a potential starter. So either Jumper can play or Shoop doesnt know a thing about defense. Jumper has earned the chance to start.
