I wouldn't assume he's out of the woods just yet. The only credible information we have is that he has been hospitalized for several days and that he is in need of prayers. Let's keep up all of the positive energy we can muster and hope for the best.

As for the rumor-mongering, it's an unfortunate side of human nature. People want to be viewed as part of some select group of informed insiders and they want to be first to report the news to those of us on the outside, because I guess it makes them feel important. When it comes to life and death, you would hope we'd be better. But I guess we're all flawed human beings in one way or another.

First class post. I also got a text yesterday from someone in the football program that told me he had passed. There was a lot of confusion for sure. It was just one of those things, as someone else said, to be respectful of and let the appropriate people handle.

He’s said nothing speculative on the coach Inge situation. Here’s the direct screenshot from his page. These a-holes are using this situation to take shots and that is deplorable. Do you want to be part of that, Because you are?

The inference was made that I got my info from Tony, which is a complete lie. I have a friend who works in the AD. There were several text communications going around. I only shared a minuscule fraction of what was discussed. That being a serious infection that led to hospitalization.
We all already knew he was hospitalized and that it was serious. And none of that had one gawdamn think to do with Basillio. You guys need help.

I don't know if you're referring to me or not in this. I've not now or never claimed to have any inside knowledge to anything Vol related. I was merely commenting based on what was being said all over social media. A mixture of shock and sadness clouded my judgement. I couldn't be more happy Coach Inge is still hanging tough. Regardless, I shouldn't have been so gullible in believing the rumor and shouldn't have even acknowledged it and just given my prayers out.

Coach Inge is in the hospital dealing with a very serious health situation, and I’m asking everyone here to take a moment and say a prayer for him and his family.

Coach Inge, you may not know me, but you are part of the Tennessee family. I hope you know that there are people all across Vol Nation who are thinking about you, praying for you, and hoping with all their hearts that you come through this.

May God give you strength when you need it most, comfort you and your family, and surround you with His healing hand.

Right now, Coach, don’t worry about football. Your only job is to fight, rest and get better. We’ll take care of the football talk. You take care of yourself.
