STUDENTS INVITED TO ATTEND SATURDAY SCRIMMAGE

Head coach Lane Kiffin wants to add a touch of the home game atmosphere to his team’s final preseason scrimmage by inviting all UT students to attend.

Gates 1, 2 and 3 will open at 12:00 p.m. The scrimmage begins at 12:21 p.m.

One reason for less informed practices is they will not allow you to text or update and people will get nosey if your on your phone alot. I was texting my dad tuesday when i was at practice and had someone say something to me and i just said it was my dad and they said ok just be careful. But hubbs is out there every day and other press but no more updates

On UTsports.com does the highlight videos have just audio between 8/15-8/20 dates? Reasoning I am asking is all I am getting is audio with just a black screen in the media players.

Heard on radio this morning they will also have a Vol Walk before scrimmage - didn't say the time.

Junior wide receiver Gerald Jones said Friday's and today's game-like scenarios were a "great, great idea."

"I love everything that these coaches do, honestly, and that's no lie," Jones said. "They treat it so professionally, like in the NFL. I'm all for it. This is a big (scrimmage). It's the biggest one until the season. I'm pumped up, and I'm ready to go, and I'm right behind the coaches, 100 percent."

well my friend made the team. they had 50 walk ons to try out and the staff only kept 15 and only 4 freshmen walk ons made it and he's one of them.
