Rhiannon Potkey: Glad #Vols WR Jauan Jennings can catch because I risked decapitation to take this practice video. https://twitter.com/TennesseeBeat/status/801181965462421505/video/1

Jesse Simonton: No wonder Jauan Jennings is so good at snagging Hail Mary's. How about 5 one-handed catches? https://twitter.com/JesseReSimonton/status/801182069975969792/video/1

But unlike last week, the media was completely blocked from seeing the drill. Several newcomers and redshirt candidates got shots in the session including JUCO cornerback DJ Henderson. Safety Nigel Warrior also took a couple turns in the drill.

Jones did get a laugh at the end of the session when he called out receivers Josh Malone and Jauan Jennings, only to quickly say he just wanted to see Malone’s reaction.
Green, non-contact jerseys: Linebacker Darrin Kirkland, tailback Alvin Kamara and nickel-back Rashaan Gaulden. Kirkland still looks slowed by his ankle injury that caused him to miss five games.
Interestingly, defensive tackle Alexis Johnson was back at practice.

* The starting offensive line (L-R) stayed the same as the Missouri game. Drew Richmond, Jashon Robertson, Coleman Thomas, Venzell Boulware and Brett Kendrick. Notably, Chance Hall (knee) was back at practice and seemed to be moving well.
Several veterans were not at practice Tuesday. The media is not allowed to report who was not there, though.

Nothing really new in terms of return guys. Justin Martin did field some punts, but don't look for him on Saturday as there's a good chance it's Cam Sutton. Josh Smith could return kicks as could Alvin Kamara. It doesn't appear that the coaching staff is comfortable with Marquez Callaway in that role in a pressure game situation.

Defensively, Abernathy was at one safety. Warrior, and Griffin seem to be splitting the bulk of the other safety reps.

Rashaan Gaulden and Darin Kirkland, Jr. both practiced but both were in green jerseys. Daniel Bituli appeared to be doing more. He's been bothered by that tender hamstring and didn't play last week.

On the offensive side, Chance Hall was on the practice field, but we continued to see alot of the same line up we saw last week with Kendrick at right tackle and Boulware at right guard. They were really pleased with Boulware and how physical he played.

I'm really looking forward to Jauan Jennings development next year. I don't think he was ever fully healthy this year. Remember he had off-season knee surgery that cost him the start of camp. He also never looked quite 100%.

An off-season to rest and recover as well as improve his speed and route running. I wouldn't be surprised if he's the top receiver in the SEC next year.

Kid is just a playmaker.

I thought he was moving to defense.

LWS said Alexis Johnson was probably going to get a medical hardship...I wouldn't play him now for two games and lose him for another year...he was never in shape this fall.

I'll leave the predictions to you. JJ has got a fire and competitiveness that i wish we could splice into everyone else. Excited to see both his skills and his leadership get better.
