We are no longer "Life Champions". We are Practice Champions and if coach thinks you had a good week of practice you can start at the most important position on the field every week even if you have a losing record stretching over 4 years.
Pruitt is a PRACTICE CHAMPION!!!

While I understand Pruitt's point of you have to go off of how they practice. That is only if you do not have the live game experience to judge their play from. Our Win/Loss totals are not graded or determined by how well we practice. If you are a 5* in practice and a 2* on game day, you should not be playing. SMDH

Think about if COVID is still going on next year and the NCAA approves a second season where players don’t lose a year of eligibility. Then JG could come back for the 2022 season as well.

Practice is important, but guys being “gamers” is a real thing. Danny Wuerffel was a notoriously bad practice player. It drove Spurrier nuts. Urban Meyer didn’t like Chris Leak’s practice play, but Leak won him a championship in 06.

This works in reverse too. Feleipe Franks was the best practice QB perhaps in UF history. His practice play fooled two different coaching staffs, two OC’s, and was so impressive it caused a coach who has one helluva QB eye, Dan Mullen, to start him over a gem, Kyle Trask. But during games, although he had great games and great moments occasionally, Franks just folded sometimes, completely falling apart.

Just because Maurer or Shrout or Bailey aren’t looking as good as JG in practice, doesn’t mean they won’t outplay him in games if given equal opportunity.

Someone needs to get Allen Iverson on the phone with Pruitt so he can explain to him that practice is overrated.

Will Arkansas treat the Tennessee game like a practice?

With Frank’s having owned the Vols 2 other times, it will be hard for UT to even stay in the game for any length of time
