For the first couple days after the UF debacle, I told myself there wasn't a chance in Haites I'd spend the $ to get the Gameplan broadcast of the Arky State game - not on this team. But as the week's gone on, I'm starting to think I might regret passing up the chance to watch the Vols play..on the off chance they've had a Road-to-Damascus experience this week and Saturday night were to begin a season turnaround for the ages, howevery unlikely...

Still not decided for sure, but I'm leaning towards getting the game...was wondering how many more of you are in the same quandary? :dunno:

I say go to a bar. You can get dinner and watch the game, if they win you are out the cost of a meal, if they lose you can order shots.

I'm not likely to find a bar here in Richmond that's showing the game...

Ahh...well in that case do you get 1510? I know it is spotty all across the southeast.

Easy question for me... I bought ESPN gameplan before the season started and I assume they will show it. Had the decision not already been made it would have been tough... as much as I want to make a statement and boycott spending further money on the football program, the thought of Tennesse playing without watching is too much to bear.

Unfortunatly, as I stated in a previous post, one of my good friends (and ut alum) let his wife convince him it would be acceptable to get married during a UT home game.
Still don't get why people think it is ok to get married in the fall in the south.

Good idea, but if they play like they did last week I'll be thrown out before dinner gets to the table...:cray:

Same here. It's on Gameplan, so I'll watch it. It would be tough to spend thirty bucks on the game otherwise.

A shame it's on opposite Georgia-Alabama. That's an interesting game.

Thats what I am talkin' brotha. I say for this game, try to take the free route.

It's been a long time since I did the radio thing for a broadcast...prolly not since Ward; not that I wouldn't, but if I can choose between Kessling or a visual - even though the visual ain't free - well, let's just say I won't miss Bob too much.

Does Richmond not have a vols bar? Most citys in the south have a home for major teams. . . or is that another indicator that we are no longer taken seriously?

Are you even serious? It just gets worse...

that might be worth checking into; I'm really not sure as I've always done the 'drink & view' at home.

perhaps, but unless there's about 8 screens, I'd wager the UT-ASU game ain't gonna be the concensus choice with any sportsbar crowd in this town.

I've been much farther away and find if you ask they will usually turn 1 game on.

Check into the local Alumni Association. If you go to a friendly bar you are with friends, and someone will probably hold back your hair when you vomit. . . or at least hold you while you cry.

is there not a Damon's in Richmond? Should be something in Shockoe that has all the games

yeah, the Bottom would be the most likely spot, I'm sure...I may call around.

wait, that didn't sound right...I meant Shockoe Bottom, of course...
