Thanks for posting this. I really am rooting hard against Florida and USC. I don't like any of these guys outside of UT, but I hope it's someone else besides those two.

frye-- As is stands right now, what is the potential of this team? I'm concerned that many fans that don't follow baseball as closely as you do got all hyped up with CDS being hired, and now that we're still in the bottom of the SEC, those fans will bail on us. Do we have brighter days ahead?

I think FL, Ark, SC, and possibly UK are in a class above the rest. I'm not sold that Kentucky belongs up there though. We will see how the next few weeks pan out. They made a very loud statement this weekend, but time will tell if they are for real.

The rest of the pack is pretty close IMO, other than Bama. This is the SEC and the depth of this league is pretty astonishing year in and year out. I think we will continue to get better this year. You never know whats going to happen in baseball, but I like our chances of getting to Hoover, and getting into a regional. Regional might require 8th place in the conference.

Look at it this way.

The Vols hitting can't be worse than it was the 8 days before Sunday's win.

Guys like Steckenrider will not be in the dumper the rest of the season as I expect somewhere along they way they'll "get it". Their approach from the games I saw was terrible and that continued through yesterday.

With any sort of offensive improvement, then we'll see more Ws. Plus, I think Steck is letting is poor hitting effect the rest of his game.

It is good that we have apparently found a third starter.

I think (again) we'll be a pretty good team at the end of the season.
