wanna hear what my crazy Wifey pulled on me?


She scheduled a week long trip to Wilmington NC for us to vacation with her 2 brothers and their spouses starting this weekend. I know she mentioned it about 6 months ago but damn, of all the times to be stuck running around with 5 people who have 0 interest in sports especially UT football...... I need a drink!!!!!

I've been trying all summer(between naps) to keep my bermuda grass lawn the greenest in the neighborhood. Just to drive my fancy yard neighbor two houses up the street crazy. So yesterday I discovered that the zone seven sprinklers wouldn't work. They did the day before. I checked it out and thought it was the sensor module in the control box. Took a drive to Home Depot to buy a new one and they didn't have one in stock . I knew damn well that I should have grabbed a new diaphragm valve but got to talking with some old geezer about brown mulch vs black mulch and forgot to get one. Drove all the way home and went online to find the sensor module. $65. So, told Wifey to order it. Then I remembered that I could just switch the wires from #7 over to #6 to test the diaphragm valve. Did that and found out that it was in fact kaput.... :( Back to Home Depot to buy the valve, $13 and installed it . In the rain,,,,,, red clay mud all over my new white T-shirt.. itchy bemuda grass crap on my arms and bare bony legs... Told Wifey to cancel the order for the sensor..

Next year, just gonna let the grass die..... :)
