Pretty sure there's no lose/lose in a tournament;you either win and advance or lose and go home.I felt that this needed it's own thread. And yes this year since there are so many SEC opponents they can do 2nd round SEC matches. Feels like the committee would love this and honestly I'd be scared of this scenario, seems like the ultimate lose/lose for us
The committee isn’t going to do that in the 2nd round for teams that already played twice in the regular season.I felt that this needed it's own thread. Or Mizzou. A&M is in a free fall. I see them ending up with a 5 or 6.Took care of them the other night and we'll do it again if we have to. If we somehow get them in SEC tournament play I think that makes it less likely we see them early in the NCAAT.
A sweet sixteen rematch with Texas A&M is looking more likely than Vandy, IMO.
Here’s the complete guide the selection committee follows if anyone wants to indulge themselves. Conference teams who have already played each other twice may not meet earlier than the regional semifinals.Pretty sure bracket principles won’t allow two teams that met two times in the regular season to see each other before the Sweet 16. I could be wrong, but that’s what I remember. So this wouldn’t be possible.
