I wonder how many Dawg fans felt like this 2 years ago when they hired lifelong DC Kirby Smart to be HC.

The fan base was split. Some wanted Kirby and some wanted Tom Herman, who had some HC experience. The ones who wanted someone other than Kirby, said "I told you so" after last season. Those fans have faded into the background now after this season. As the saying goes; "winning solves everything".

It will be interesting to see how Tennessee fans react to what is expected to be a very difficult schedule next season...Bama, Auburn, UGA and a Florida team coached by Mullen. The Florida game is probably the game that Pruitt needs to win to win over more of the fan base and quiet the fans who wanted a coach with HC experience like Mullen.

As for Pruitt's staff, I expect Sherrer to be on his short list for DC. For the sake of sheer entertainment; Rush Propst as OC would be fun to watch. Pruitt, Scherrer and Propst would be the return of Hoover High. Kind of like the "Blues Brother" putting the "Band Back Together".

I would be pissed if I was Tee Martin..T Martin just groomed a top 5 qb and other countless of 1st round picks out of USC. The offense was the problem last year. Get this offense together could have gotten a good defensive coordinator

I still think we need some plays with a lead blocker out. Giving the defense a free shot at the running back only gets him killed play after play. The lead blocker gives him something to cut off of at the point of attack.

Coach Butch Jones should be our VFL Coordinator now that Antone Davis has vacated the position. And Jon Gruden can be our WR coach.
