Have to take into consideration others things too tho. How well they are liked, how well they could potentially recruit in the south, etc

Has excellent record and best resume, but can he do it at a power 5 program with looming sanctions?

Has the ability to beat power 5 teams with lesser talent and can build programs, can we handle his slogans and are they on a down slide?

Pros: Eye for developing talent, so much he made his waterboy a potential first round NFL draft pick.
Cons: Probably sucks without his waterboy

Absolutely none of them period. Why not the NCAA Coach of the year of Coastal Carolina and a Tennessee native?

I will have to sign up for another 6 months of Nega-Vol therapy if they hire somebody like Sonny Dykes. I’m getting a nervous twitch just thinking about it.

I like them all except Herman (not a players coach) and Dykes.

Herman's players at Texas recruited against him when new recruits showed up on campus. At least Pruitt had loyalty from his players.

Herman is better than anybody on that list. GBO!!!!
Maybe, but his people management skills sound like Pruitt, but he had the advantage of his first HC job being a talented Houston team in the AAC.

I do think he’s better than Pruitt, but the stories about him aren’t encouraging. Perhaps he’s a bridge to a better long term guy, but he doesn’t seem like a coach that will have the team punching above their weight

Herman has:
-been a hotshot coordinator at the highest level
-been successful at a Group of 5 coach
-headed up a major P5 program.
That's a pretty unique resume among the names that have been tossed around.

Maybe bags from McD help to build loyalty.

Did any of the articles about Texas players ever mention who or why this was done? Curious if these were Herman players or Strong players.
