Nice room. I also have one of those dust gathering weight machines in my Vol Room in progress! No basements here in FL but the wife just gave me the OK to convert our spare bedroom into a Vols Room. Here is step 1, the ceiling fan.

Eventually I would like to paint the Neyland scoreboard on 1 wall and hang a flat screen where the jumbotron would be.

Nice, never even thought about the fan. Going to have to check that out!

Here is a picture from Christmas that has our UT tree in it. It is in the plans to paint checkerboard on the wall in this picture of my basement. The rest of the room as decorations spread about and the full bath in the basement is all UT decorations. Just got my pool table down there 6 months ago but when it needs felt next time I will have to switch it to orange for sure.

Any tips on the Checkerboard painting are appreciated.
Thanks!

Tape it all out before you start painting.

Home Depot knows what your talking about when you say Tennessee Orange......At least the one in Chattanooga did.

Yeah, I know home depot has the paint but I am not sure how good it would look with me doing the taping. I guess I am going to have to start with the primer since it is a Khaki color then paint the whole area white and do the orange checkers as the last step.

Yeah that could work, you can use a yard stick to make sure the lines are straight and what not (if that's what you were talking about. Figure out what the length is on the wall and figure out how big your squares can be in order for it to match up over the whole wall.
